Cooking Tips:
- Fresh Asparagus in the Microwave
- Add a quarter cup of water to a microwave safe bowl, add 1lb of asparagus (bottom ends cut), cover, cook for 4-7 minutes
- Fresh Asparagus in a Saucepan
- Cook spears (bottom ends cut) in a small amount of boiling water until tender (about 5-8 minutes).
- Fresh Asparagus on the Grill
- Prehead grill for high, direct heat. Place spears (with bottom ends cut) in a container. Drizzle with olive oil, balsamic vinegar & sprinkle with salt. Place spears directly on the grill for 5-10 minutes until nicely charred & fork tender. Be sure to turn them every few minutes for even browning.
